Crucible Group is a Bermuda-based consultancy led by Benjamin (Ben) Beasley. We work with organisations to understand performance challenges, develop people and teams, and design practical solutions that improve capability and performance.

Our work spans organisational analysis, leadership and followership development, training design, experiential learning, assessment, and assurance. These are complementary disciplines rather than separate products. We use the combination that best fits the problem.

We Begin with the Challenge

Every organisation is different, and every challenge deserves to be understood before a solution is recommended. We gather evidence, test assumptions, and distinguish underlying causes from symptoms.

Sometimes the answer is training. Sometimes it isn’t.

Our role is not to sell a predetermined methodology or programme. It is to understand what needs to change and determine the most appropriate way to change it.

Experience Behind the Work

Benjamin (Ben) Beasley

Ben brings more than two decades of experience in leadership, organisational performance, training, and experiential learning in Bermuda and overseas.

He served as a Training and Education Officer in the Royal Air Force before spending more than a decade with the Royal Bermuda Regiment, ultimately serving as its Commanding Officer. His experience includes the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Systems Approach to Training, with specialist practice in performance and training analysis, instructional design, evaluation, audit, and assurance.

Earlier in his career, Ben worked as an Outward Bound instructor, experience that continues to influence Crucible’s approach to learning through challenge, experience, and reflection. He holds an MBA with Distinction from Warwick Business School and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute and Institute of Leadership.

Good work sometimes requires a broader range of expertise than any one practitioner or organisation can provide. Crucible works within a network of experienced specialists, facilitators, and partners, drawing on complementary expertise, perspectives, and additional capacity where the requirement demands it.

This allows us to bring together the right people, experience, and resources for the challenge, while maintaining a clear understanding of the client’s requirement and the outcomes to be achieved.

Crucible is also the licence holder for FranklinCovey in Bermuda, with Ben serving as a certified FranklinCovey facilitator. This provides access to internationally recognised leadership and performance-development programmes, resources, and expertise when an established solution is the right fit.
